DEVELOPMENT OF FIRMWARE FOR WIDE AREA SURVEILLANCE OF BORDER AREA
Introduction
An advanced image processing firmware mainly to provide electronics surveillance over wide border areas. It captures video frames from CCD/IR camera mounted on a PAN & tilt (PZ) platform, then stitches these frames into a single PAN to create a wide view.
Scope
The performance of Electro-optical sensors are limited due to scene contrast and atmospheric effects. These degradation ultimately restricts the detection & recognition ranges under adverse weather conditions. The same can be improved by exploiting advance image processing techniques. The image processing modules will help to meet the aspirations of armed forces to have advanced state of art day/night sights with embedded image processing features.
