Overview
A M-MIMO (Massive MIMO) scenario can be different from the typical processing used for MU-MIMO in the FR-1 band because of migration to a larger number of (smaller) antennas and using fewer or even one transmission layer(s) owing to LOS propagation, even for MU-MIMO cases. Additionally, the trend toward higher frequencies in the FR-2 band necessitates using a larger number of smaller antennas.
